He stretched, long and slow, scratched a furry ear, put his big feet up, and took another puff from his pipe carved from a carrot; he could relax now for Easter morning was finally over and he had until next year before he had to bound all across the globe again.

Aw, nice. We get a lot of Santa Claus like this but not as much Easter bunny. Fun!

Glad you liked! :) This came from a half-asleep conversation with the hubby while driving him into work one morning about two weeks ago, and I've been loving the idea since!

The silent drafting of an apology for her harsh words of the previous evening was abandoned when John’s eyes lit upon the odd arrangement on the kitchen table, and a smile curled her lips when she read the card: place the twelve eggs I’ve expertly hidden about the flat in correct order around the chocolate rabbit and it’s yours and, as you consume it greedily, like the little thief you are, remember there is a blood-drinking, undead double-centenarian who adores you beyond measure and reason.

Zeke was not into Easter or any other holidays; usually, these days were boring as hell because everyone seemed to have a great time with their family while he was sitting in his garage alone with a Heineken and a frozen pizza, but when his eyes fall on the caramel Cadbury eggs the idea crossed his mind that this would be the perfect easter gift for Casey Connor, his geeky lab partner who was a sucker for chocolate.

Nervous as hell, Zeke clasped the flowers in his hand when stepping on the porch of the Connor's house; when Casey had told him that his mom asked him to come over for Easter Dinner, he had shaken his head full of panic, well-knowing the rep he had in town, but Casey had only laughed and said: "Bring her some lilies, and you will win her heart in a sec."
