Title: Falls and Revelations
Fandom: BTs
Rating: Gen
Length: 200
Pairing: RM/Jin
Prompt: fall
Also for: doMAYstic Day 6: withered flowers
Summary: Something falls out of Seokjin's book.
“Hyung,” said Namjoon when the front door opened.
“Hmm?”
“I was trying to prop open this book because I wanted to take one photo of the two pages, and I grabbed the heaviest book I saw off the shelf. It was a cookbook. And this fell out.”
Namjoon held up the bookmark. It was a stiff rectangle, a single rose, half a blossom, a piece of stem, and one leaf, trapped in plastic.
“So what?” asked Seokjin defensive and accusatory at the same time.
“I didn’t know you were the type to keep withered flowers,” stammered Namjoon. “I gave this to you after we debuted. I know it’s the same flower because we laughed about how the spot on the leaf looked like my soft-serve ice cream swirl hair. I can’t believe you kept it.”
“You tried to act so tough, but I knew you were a softie,” said Seokjin with a shrug. “I wanted to keep the proof of it. I got my future sister-in-law to laminate it at her school. It was she who offered me the suggestion of how to preserve it.”
“And you still have it. After all this time.”
Seokjin smiled. “After all this time.”
